Shipyard in Puntland, Somalia
Nedsom has developed a long term socio-economic development project in the frame of the project “Establishing a sustainable fishing industry in Puntland, Somalia”.
The main objective of the project is the establishment of shipyard industry near Bosaso in the Federal State of Puntland in Somalia to generate economic activities and employment for the benefit of local communities and to contribute to food security towards vulnerable populations.
The first fishing boat has been produced and is sailing proudly across the Indian Ocean.
